| 1999 CABERNET SAUVIGNON: |
| OAKVILLE, NAPA VALLEY |
Tasting Notes: Big and full of rich ripe fruit from the acclaimed Oakville appellation, the 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful dark burgundy in color. As the wine opens in the glass, complex layers reveal different characteristics, which continually challenge the senses. A bouquet of cassis, plum, currant, spice, with a hint of tobacco and pepper meet the nose. Well-integrated oak, big juicy fruit tannins, lush black cherry and blackberry combine with notes of caramel and toast to create a smooth and well-balanced mouth-feel. A good depth of acidity and a long, silky finish accentuate the wines excellent ageability. |
