Tasting Notes:
We are pleased to announce the inaugural release of our J Block Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. The wine is comprised 100% from one single hillside block and is carefully handled throughout fermentation. The wine is so deep and wonderfully structured that we use 100% new French Taransaud barrels to accent the terroir of the Oakville vineyard. The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a multi-layered, fabulously rich, expansive wine with full body, a velvety texture, glycerin and soft tannin in the finish. The wine reveals a blackberry/blueberry, creme de cassis character with underlying dry herbs, toasty oak, and mineral scents. There is an incredible intensity, symmetry and smoothness that makes this wine one not to miss. |
